Think about all the ad slogans you’ve heard over the years, (I’m guessing you can name at least five of them). You recognize all these slogans because they’re simple. And their marketing is so effective that you can picture the logos of these companies and hear that catchy jingle in your head. Because simple sells.
But that’s a trap when it comes to retirement, because retirement can be complicated and multi-faceted. Your retirement shouldn’t have to hinge on a catchy jingle and effective phrase. A retirement planner should be focused on developing a relationship for success, not just trying to sell you something.
Don’t fall for the convenience of getting a cookie-cutter plan that’s just like the plan your neighbor has.
